Solana's perpetual decentralized exchange (DEX) platforms have set a new record in trading volume, reaching $183.2 billion in Q2 2026.

This significant milestone was largely driven by the increasing migration from centralized to decentralized derivatives platforms built on Solana, according to DefiLlama and Dune Analytics.

The growth can be attributed to the low fees and near-second-level finality offered by Solana, which has attracted institutional market makers who have increased their quoting during US and Asia working hours, contributing to deeper liquidity pools.

As a result, traders will benefit from reduced trade slippages for BTC, ETH, and native perps. Developers also get to see the numbers supporting their choice of scaling layer solutions for derivatives as base layers.
