Solana Poised to Overtake XRP in Market Valuation by 2030
Solana (SOL) is gunning for XRP's market capitalization crown by 2030, according to analyst Alex Carchidi. Currently, Solana ranks seventh with a valuation of around $50 billion.
XRP, on the other hand, holds an edge in market cap at approximately $87 billion. However, the gap may narrow as both projects pursue tokenizing real-world assets like stocks, bonds, and commodities on-chain.
Carchidi believes Solana's speed and low transaction costs make it a strong contender for high-volume asset movement. It already hosts around $272 million in tokenized stocks, which rose 14% in the 30 days ending March 5.
The total market for tokenized stocks could grow from roughly $1 billion today to more than $38 billion by 2035, with Solana aiming to become a round-the-clock hub for trading equities, ETFs, and institutional funds at minimal cost.
