Solana Poised to Overtake XRP in Valuation by 2030, Analyst Predicts
According to The Motley Fool analyst Alex Carchidi, Solana (SOL) has a strong chance of surpassing XRP in valuation by 2030. Currently, XRP holds an edge with a market capitalization of approximately $87 billion, while SOL ranks seventh at around $50 billion.
Solana's advantage lies in its speed and low transaction costs, making it well-suited for high-volume asset movement. The platform already hosts around $272 million in tokenized stocks, which rose 14% in the 30 days ending March 5.
The opportunity is significant, with projections estimating the total market for tokenized stocks could grow from roughly $1 billion today to more than $38 billion by 2035. Solana aims to become a round-the-clock hub for trading equities, ETFs, and institutional funds at minimal cost.
Carchidi notes that while XRP's built-in compliance framework gives it an advantage with financial institutions, Solana's broader ecosystem plans would likely drive its valuation surpassing XRP in the future.
