Solana Prediction Market World Opens Standalone Platform to 1M Users
World, a prediction market built on Solana, has opened its standalone platform to more than 1 million waitlisted users. This expansion marks a significant milestone for World, which was previously available through Phantom and at world.xyz. Since its launch in July, the platform has featured over 150,000 markets covering various topics such as sports, cryptocurrency, politics, finance, economics, and culture.
The standalone offering includes markets on every NFL regular-season game, seven soccer leagues, Formula 1, the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, and Federal Reserve policy decisions. Each market is structured as a pair of binary yes-or-no contracts, with prices moving between $0 and $1 according to demand.
World uses CASH, a dollar-backed stablecoin associated with Phantom, for settlement purposes. The platform's architecture is non-custodial, meaning users do not hand their assets to a conventional brokerage account or centralized exchange for the duration of a position.
