Solana's price has failed to break above $90 despite growing network activity. According to data, active addresses on the Solana blockchain have nearly doubled to 4.8 million since the start of 2026.

This growth in user participation is a positive sign for the project, but Standard Chartered has recently slashed its year-end price target for SOL to $250 from $310, citing delays in shifting away from meme coin dependency.

The bank's head of digital assets research, Geoffrey Kendrick, stated that Solana remains a quality project worth buying despite its reliance on meme coin trading. He noted that the shift towards more sustainable applications like micropayments is underway but will take time to reach scale.
