Solana Price Surge Drives Interest in Unheralded Invesco ETF
Despite the recent attention surrounding Bitcoin, another cryptocurrency is making waves, Solana. In August, its value surged by over 40%, reaching eighth-largest status by market capitalization. Investors who prefer accessing digital currencies through ETFs should consider the Invesco Galaxy Solana ETF (QSOL), which has seen increased institutional demand.
Solana supply isn't capped like some other cryptocurrencies, but a recent vote will reduce new SOL entering circulation. This could support prices for both solana itself and QSOL. The network's governance body approved SGP-0002, doubling the annual disinflation rate from 15% to 30%, which will shrink new SOL supply twice as fast as planned.
For now, Solana is trading just above $100, but it would need nearly double to reach $200. However, some experts believe there's a solid bull case for this digital currency, citing network upgrades and growing adoption across various sectors.
