Solana Price Teeters at Make-or-Break Zone as Memecoin Volume Soars
Solana's price has reached a critical zone on its higher timeframe chart, leaving traders waiting to see whether it will break through or fall back. Analyst Crypto Patel believes that if SOL holds above key support levels, it could reach $500 and potentially $1,000 in the long run.
Patel notes that Solana is sitting at a critical high-timeframe decision point, and if it loses its current rising channel, the price could drop towards the $70 to $50 accumulation zone. However, he remains confident about the bigger picture, calling this range a 'high-conviction buying zone' for patient investors.
The analysis also points out that Solana's on-chain activity is showing signs of revival, with memecoins becoming the largest sector by daily spot DEX volume on $SOL for the first time since July 2025. Memecoins now make up 30% of daily spot volume, followed closely by stablecoin swaps and SOL-stablecoin pairs.
Additionally, consumer activity on Solana is not limited to trading, with card spending on the network hitting record levels in the second quarter of 2026. Top-ups through card programs reached an all-time high of $94.32 million in May alone.
