Solana Revival: On-Chain Metrics Point to Sustained Demand
Solana's market presence has been revitalized in recent days, with its market capitalization ranking at number seven on CoinGecko. This trend is not driven by a single event, but rather by sustained organic demand from both retail and institutional investors.
The network's decentralized exchange volume, led by Raydium and Jupiter, has consistently placed Solana among the top two or three for DEX throughput globally. This high activity level is due in part to the network's architecture, which targets 50,000 transactions per second under optimal conditions.
Fee market improvements rolled out in early 2026 have also contributed to the network's stability and growth. These changes addressed a long-standing criticism by giving validators better tools to order transactions, improving user experience for DeFi and NFT participants.
The staking participation rate has climbed steadily, with current estimates placing it above 65% of circulating supply. This increase in staked SOL reduces liquid sell pressure and tends to correlate with higher holder conviction.
