Solana Seeks Third All-Time High as Cyclical Patterns Suggest 2026 Upswing

Solana's recent performance has led analysts to speculate about its potential for hitting another all-time high (ATH) in 2026. The network, known for its speed and low fees, has already reached two ATHs, with the first occurring in November 2021 at approximately $260 and the second in January 2025 at around $295.

According to analysts, including DJ Ha Trang, both rallies followed a cyclical pattern: a prolonged accumulation phase, a strong narrative catalyst, and volatility compression before the final breakout. If this pattern repeats, the 2026 window aligns with the expansion phase expected within the post-Bitcoin halving cycle.

Several factors are currently working in Solana's favor, including its expanding native DeFi ecosystem, deepening on-chain liquidity, and potential institutional interest following several asset managers' filed ETF applications with the SEC. However, technical and fundamental obstacles remain, such as significant short position volumes and liquidation levels in the $180 to $200 zone.

While a 2026 ATH is plausible, it remains conditional on several favorable factors converging at the same time. The broader macro risk also looms large, with potential rate hiking cycles from the Fed, widespread risk aversion, or liquidity shocks in traditional markets that could delay or derail any bullish scenario.
