Solana Sees $2,000 Price Target by 2030, According to Standard Chartered Analyst
A Standard Chartered analyst has made a bullish prediction for Solana's (CRYPTO: SOL) price target, forecasting it to reach $2,000 by 2030. According to Geoff Kendrick, head of digital asset research at Standard Chartered, the coin could grow significantly if certain conditions are met.
Kendrick's forecast is based on his belief that Solana is maturing rapidly, with its platform technology and ecosystem improving. He expects the coin to rise to $400 in 2027, then $700 in 2028, and $1,200 in 2029 before ultimately hitting or surpassing $2,000 in 2030.
However, Kendrick notes that for this prediction to come true, demand will be a key factor. He suggests that stablecoin turnover and utilization are important metrics to watch, as well as value capture. Solana's current low transaction fees and uncapped supply could lead to diluted value if the blockchain is successful in attracting more traffic.
The analyst also highlights two governance proposals currently being voted on: SGP-0002 and SGP-0003. These proposals aim to speed up new coin creation and burn a larger share of transaction fees, respectively, which could tie network activity more directly to the coin's price.
