Solana Sees Record Transactions Amid Token Price Decline
Solana's network has seen a remarkable increase in usage, despite its token experiencing a significant decline in value. According to the State of Solana report by Messari, the average daily non-vote transactions on the platform reached an all-time high of 112.6 million in Q1 2026, up 50% from the prior quarter.
This surge in usage comes as the Real-world asset market cap on Solana grew 43% to $2.01 billion, with BlackRock's BUIDL fund doubling to $525 million after Anchorage added custody support.
However, the token price of SOL fell 33% over the quarter to close near $83, a broader correction that cooled speculative activity across crypto and dragged altcoins lower.
