Solana Sets New Record for Daily Token Issuance
Solana's network has reached an all-time high for daily token issuance, with over 263,000 new SPL tokens minted in a single day. This figure is roughly five times the peak of the December 2024 memecoin cycle, which saw around 40,000 to 50,000 daily tokens issued.
The surge in token creation is largely driven by launchpads, with Pump.fun accounting for 34,184 of the 40,360 launchpad-issued tokens. This concentration of activity on a single platform is significant, as it indicates that much of the issuance wave is backed by monetization engines that traders actively engage with.
The financial impact of this surge is also notable, with Pump.fun generating $1.8 million in revenue over 24 hours and accounting for one-third of Solana's first-quarter 2026 revenue.
