Solana Sets New Record for Daily Token Issuance

Solana's token minting activity reached a new record on Wednesday, surpassing previous highs. According to Solscan data, over 263,000 new SPL tokens were minted in a single day, eclipsing the scale seen during the late-2024 memecoin boom.

The latest surge underscores how quickly Solana's ecosystem can shift when meme trading and launchpad activity pick up momentum. Launchpads are driving the bulk of new token issuance, with Pump.fun accounting for the majority of these tokens. In fact, Blockworks' dashboard shows that 40,360 tokens were issued through launchpads, with 34,184 coming from Pump.fun alone.

Pump.fun's revenue is also a significant indicator, as DefiLlama reports it generated $1.8 million in revenue over the past 24 hours. This suggests that new token minting is being matched by monetized activity, potentially strengthening liquidity discovery and keeping token launches within a tighter promotional feedback loop.
