Solana Sets New Record for Non-Vote Transactions with Over 5.2 Billion in August
The Solana network has set a new record for non-vote transactions in August, processing over 5.2 billion of them.
This represents a 19% increase from July's record of 4.2 billion transactions and marks the highest operational level recorded by a blockchain in a single calendar month.
The SIMD-0286 technical upgrade played a significant role in this achievement, increasing block compute capacity by 66% without altering propagation times.
As a result, validators were able to process more complex interaction flows concurrently, leading to an average operational throughput of nearly 2,000 transactions per second during peak demand windows on August 10.
