Solana Shatters Transaction Volume Record Amid Crypto Market Rebound
Solana has set a new record for transaction volume, processing a staggering 4.2 billion on-chain transactions in July. This represents a 13.5% increase from June and marks a significant milestone for the network.
The SOL token also saw a notable price surge, gaining around 40% in just eight days and reclaiming its $100 mark for the first time since February. The broader crypto market rebound, which followed the U.S. Treasury Department's announcement of larger long-dated bond buybacks, contributed to this uptick.
The growth in transaction volume is attributed in part to the expansion of tokenized real-world assets on Solana, which approached $4 billion in value. This represents a nearly 12% increase from the previous month and demonstrates the network's increasing adoption beyond conventional crypto trading.
