Solana Sinks Below $200 Amid Bitcoin's Retreat from $100K
Bitcoin's recent decline below $100,000 has sent shockwaves through the crypto market, with Solana (SOL) feeling the impact. The altcoin's price has slipped below the critical $200 mark, and its spot markets have seen a notable outflow of over $365 million in recent days.
This trend highlights diminishing demand for SOL and underscores the broader influence of Bitcoin's decline on the altcoin market. Since February 1, when Bitcoin fell below $100,000, there has been a significant reduction in SOL market participation, with data from Coinglass reporting $367 million in outflows over the past three days.
The increased selling activity and bearish sentiment are reflected in Solana's current long/short ratio, which stands at 0.93, indicating more traders are betting on price decreases. The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator is also at the zero line, suggesting substantial sell pressure.
