Solana's (SOL) outlook for 2026 is uncertain, following a rough start to the year. The cryptocurrency entered 2026 trading near $127 on January 1 and briefly surged to $146 in mid-January before collapsing through February and into March to trade around $87.

The broader crypto market has been under pressure due to geopolitical turmoil, the collapse of the memecoin economy, and deepening uncertainty about the four-year halving cycle. Bitcoin (BTC) traded near $71,000 as of March 14, down from a cycle high of $126,230 recorded in October 2025.

Altcoins have been hit harder than Bitcoin, with 95% trading below their 200-day moving average and over 37% sitting at all-time lows. Solana's price has fallen more than 31% on a month-over-month basis entering March.
