Solana Smashes Daily Transaction Record with 171M Non-Vote Transactions

Solana set a new record for daily transactions on August 10, processing 171.9 million non-vote transactions in a 24-hour period. This is roughly 1,990 transactions per second, sustained across an entire day.

This achievement topped Solana's previous all-time high of 169.9 million non-vote transactions, set just six days earlier on August 4. The network has demonstrated its ability to absorb traffic with two records in under a week.

The new record is particularly notable because it includes only real user activity, excluding validator consensus messages that are essentially the network talking to itself. This means users were actively swapping tokens, minting NFTs, interacting with DeFi protocols, and moving funds between wallets.
