Solana Smashes Records with 4.244 Billion Transactions, Outpaces Rivals
Solana's network activity has seen significant growth over the past month, indicating increased user participation in the market. The blockchain recorded 4.244 billion transactions in July, a new all-time high, surpassing previous records set in June. This surge in activity is driven by growing demand for fast trade execution and DeFi applications on the chain.
According to data from CryptoJack, Solana has surpassed its rivals in daily active users and daily on-chain transactions. The network consistently recorded more than 3 million daily active addresses and over 100 million daily on-chain transactions over the past 30 days, driven by rapid transaction settlement, lower fees, and rising user activity across digital assets.
Despite this increased activity, Solana's SOL price remains down, currently trading at $73.99. This divergence between on-chain activity and price is not a new phenomenon, as it has occurred in the past when market activity precedes price movements.
