Solana Soars Above $100 as Altcoin Rally Accelerates
Solana has broken above $100 for the first time since early February, marking a significant milestone in its recovery. The token reached a 24-hour high of $101.75 before retreating to around $95, leaving it up about 5% over 24 hours.
The breakout comes as capital continues to flow into large-cap altcoins, with Solana's market capitalization now above $55 billion. Trading volume has also surged, reaching roughly $10.3 billion and almost doubling from the previous day.
Solana's price recovery coincides with the Agave 4.2 upgrade, which includes features aimed at increasing network capacity and lowering costs. The upgrade was shipped in August and is currently undergoing staged activation across mainnet.
Looking ahead, analysts see potential for Solana to push towards $120, followed by resistance bands around $113-$120. Above this level, the chart opens up towards $135, and potentially even $145-$150 if spot volume and broader altcoin demand continue expanding.
