Solana SOL Surges 13% as Charles Schwab Plans Spot Trading and Passes Deflationary Proposals
Solana's SOL token has surged 13.4% in value after Charles Schwab announced plans to offer Solana spot trading on its platform.
The move comes as a significant milestone for Solana, which is set to join Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, and soon Avalanche (AVAX) and Chainlink (LINK) as available spot crypto offerings on the platform.
Schwarz will charge a flat fee of 0.75% on every transaction, with trading unified across its website, mobile app, and thinkorswim platform.
Separately, Solana has successfully passed three landmark economic proposals in Epoch 1023, which are expected to reduce SOL emissions by 18.9 million tokens over the next six years.
