Solana Staking ETF Surpasses $1 Billion as XRP Lags Behind
Solana's Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) has reached $1 billion in assets, joining Bitcoin and Ethereum as the only cryptocurrencies with a U.S. ETF product above that milestone.
The achievement comes roughly 10 months after BSOL's launch, thanks in part to an annual staking yield of around 5.8%.
Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley noted that XRP does not have a native staking mechanism like Solana, which allows token holders to participate in staking and earn rewards for helping secure the network.
This difference highlights why no XRP fund has yet reached the $1 billion threshold, despite significant demand for XRP ETFs with approximately $1.44 billion in net assets and cumulative inflows reaching around $1.66 billion.
