Solana Staking ETF Surpasses $1 Billion in Assets Despite Cryptocurrency Downturn
Bitwise's Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) has reached a significant milestone in its short history, surpassing $1 billion in assets under management just ten months after it began trading. Despite the downturn in the cryptocurrency market, BSOL saw a substantial portion of these inflows during a period of weak price performance.
According to Bitwise, BSOL shares have lost approximately 40 percent of their value compared to their listing levels on the exchange. Solana's native token, SOL, is trading about 60 percent below its all-time high. This development suggests that investors are placing their trust in Solana for the long term.
Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas noted that the Solana ETF category has seen cumulative fund inflows of approximately $1.7 billion so far. He described this as 'impressive' given the sharp market decline in the first half of the year.
