Solana Surges as Charles Schwab Joins Crypto Ranks
Solana (SOL) is up 13.4% as Charles Schwab announced plans to offer Solana spot trading on its platform. This comes after Schwab introduced Bitcoin and Ethereum spot trading in May, followed by 24/7 futures trading for Solana and XRP in June.
The addition of SOL spot trading will bring the number of cryptocurrencies available for trading on Schwab's platform to five, with plans to launch Avalanche (AVAX) and Chainlink (LINK) trading as well. Clients across all US states are eligible for these Schwab crypto accounts, except for New York and Louisiana.
The 0.75% flat fee charged by Schwab on every transaction will be applied seamlessly across its website, mobile app, and thinkorswim platform.
