Solana Surges as Network Transaction Count Hits Record High
Solana's network transaction count hit an all-time high in Q1 2026, despite its token price dropping by over 30%. The blockchain processed a record 112.6 million average daily non-vote transactions, up 50% from the previous quarter.
The surge in usage is seen as evidence that Solana is maturing into a settlement layer for tokenized finance, with real-world asset value on the network climbing 43% to $2.01 billion. This growth is driven by the increasing adoption of stablecoins and RWAs (Real World Assets), which now account for over half of the network's total market cap.
The token price itself has been affected by a broader correction in the crypto market, with SOL falling 33% to around $83. Analysts argue that this disconnect between usage and price reflects external pressures rather than any weakness within the network.
