Solana Surges as Schwab Listing and Supply Vote Lift Token Price

Solana (SOL) has seen significant gains in recent days due to two major catalysts. Charles Schwab announced plans to add direct SOL trading to its platform, which could make ownership easier for millions of traditional brokerage clients. This move is expected to increase retail access and potentially drive up demand.

The second catalyst is a governance vote that has approved a faster reduction in new token issuance. The Double Disinflation proposal will double the rate at which SOL inflation declines from 15% annually to 30%, which could prevent around 18.9 million SOL from entering circulation over the next six years.

Solana's native token, SOL, has already begun to benefit from these developments, reclaiming $100 and trading above $105. Additionally, AlphaPepe (ALPE), a presale project that is expected to list on exchanges soon, has raised $2.54 million and attracted over 11,300 holders.
