Solana Surges Past $100 as Altcoin Market Rallies
Solana's price surged to over $100 for the first time since early February, capping a powerful week-long rebound in the altcoin market.
The token reached a 24-hour high of $101.75 before pulling back toward the $94-to-$95 range, still leaving SOL up more than 25% over the past week.
This move coincided with a jump in total altcoin market capitalization, which rose roughly 15%, renewing attention across major tokens including XRP, Shiba Inu, and BNB.
The rally is being driven disproportionately by derivatives activity, with open interest on Solana futures contracts reaching $5.81 billion and derivative volume hitting $19.33 billion over the same period.
