Solana Surges Past $3T DEX Volume Ahead of Rent Reduction Program
Solana's decentralized exchange (DEX) volume has exceeded $3 trillion, marking a significant milestone for the network. This comes as Solana's rent reduction program prepares to launch its second wave on mainnet, which will make an additional 612,000 SOL reclaimable. Across all five steps, up to 3.06 million SOL, worth around $319 million, could eventually become reclaimable.
The surge in DEX volume is accompanied by a record $684 million in tokenized equity supply on Solana, which has increased by 47% over the past three weeks. This growth is attributed to several ecosystem developments, including StonkFun's success in launchpad revenue and its plans to target Robinhood's Pons.
Solana Mobile has also announced a $135,000 prize pool for its CLOCK IN hackathon, which focuses on new Seeker apps. The SOL price action is also gaining attention, with an analyst noting that the token has formed a bull flag. If SOL breaks and reclaims $105, it could potentially move to $150.
