Solana Surges Past $90 as Upgraded Network and Strong Fundamentals Boost Price
Solana's price has surpassed $90, reviving hopes for a sustained recovery after a period of weakness. The rally comes on the heels of a network upgrade that improved processing efficiency by reducing target slot time from 400 milliseconds to 350 milliseconds.
The latest move in SOL is supported by a notable increase in both spot ETF demand and derivatives positioning. Net inflows into Solana's spot ETF have reached roughly 170,000 SOL, representing more than $15 million in fresh exposure at prices near 88-90.
Rising open interest has also accelerated alongside the price move, climbing to nearly $6 billion from around $4.4 billion in early August. This combination of strong spot demand and increasing derivatives participation is significant, as it indicates a growing appetite for Solana among traders.
The breakout above the rising trendline has put the 91-93 resistance area firmly back on traders' radar. If SOL can maintain momentum and push through this level, the next key target would be around $97.78, with the psychological $100 mark emerging as a major upside target if momentum remains strong.
