Solana's stablecoin economy has grown exponentially over the past three years, positioning it as a major player in crypto payments and decentralized finance.

According to Artemis data, Solana's stablecoin supply increased from approximately $1.5 billion in 2023 to around $16.7 billion as of August 9, 2026, representing an increase of over 11 times.

This growth has pushed Solana into third place globally for stablecoin supply, behind only Ethereum and Tron.

USDC remains the largest stablecoin on Solana, accounting for approximately 75%-80% of total stablecoin supply, with a value exceeding $10.5 billion.

The network's low fees and high throughput make it particularly suited to stablecoin transfers, where speed and transaction cost matter.

Stablecoin transfer volume on Solana topped $500 billion in July 2026, with February volume reaching approximately $650 billion, briefly putting Solana ahead of Ethereum in monthly stablecoin transfer activity.
