Solana Surges to Record Transactions as SOL Breaks $100 Barrier
Solana's transaction volume reached an all-time high of 4.2 billion in July, marking a significant increase of 13.5% from June. This surge in activity coincided with SOL's price gain of about 40%, which saw the token move above $100 for the first time since February.
The network's growth can be attributed to the increasing adoption of tokenized real-world assets, which approached a value of $4 billion in July. This represents an 11.8% increase from the previous month and demonstrates the expanding usage of Solana beyond conventional crypto trading.
The combination of SOL's price recovery and increased on-chain trading activity is significant, as it shows that the network is seeing stronger usage while prices recover, rather than price gains occurring without a matching increase in activity.
