Solana Surpasses Ethereum as Top USDC Transfer Network
Solana has taken the lead in USDC stablecoin transfers among all blockchain networks, according to recent data from Token Terminal. The number of monthly USDC senders reached a record high of 14.1 million, with Solana accounting for nearly 40% of that activity.
This milestone comes after Circle printed $290 million worth of USDC on the Solana chain in August, likely due to high demand on the network. Solana has been gaining popularity due to its low fees and fast settlement times, making it an attractive option for users looking to transfer value quickly and efficiently.
Ethereum remains the largest stablecoin ecosystem, with $162.4 billion worth of USDC in circulation, but Solana's growth is notable. The network processed a record 1.01 billion non-vote transactions in the past week alone, further solidifying its position as a hub for on-chain activity.
