Solana Surpasses Ethereum in DEX Trading Volume for Third Consecutive Month
Solana continues to outperform Ethereum in decentralized-exchange (DEX) trading volume, maintaining its lead despite a stagnant crypto market. The blockchain's DEXs have reached over $60 million in trading volume this month, nearly doubling Ethereum's $34 million.
This edge is attributed to Solana's lower transaction fees and higher throughput, making it more attractive to developers and users alike. According to DeFiLlama, Solana-based DEXs saw a staggering $258 billion in trading volume in January, while Ethereum lagged at $86 billion.
Not only has Solana maintained its dominant position, but it has also generated significant revenue. This month alone, the blockchain has earned $25 million in revenue, surpassing Ethereum's $16 million. In January, Solana generated $124 million against Ethereum's $109 million.
