Solana Surpasses Memecoin Cycle Records with 263K Token Issuance

The Solana network has reached an all-time high in daily token issuance, surpassing previous records set during the peak of the memecoin cycle. On Wednesday, more than 263,000 new Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens were minted on the blockchain.

This milestone was largely driven by the memecoin platform Pump.fun, which accounted for the majority of new tokens issued through launchpads. According to Blockworks' dashboard, Pump.fun was responsible for 34,184 coins out of a total 40,360 tokens issued.

For context, the Solana network previously reached a daily token issuance high of around 40,000 to 50,000 during the peak of the memecoin cycle in December 2024. The current record is nearly five times that amount.
