Solana Token Issuance Surges to New Record
Solana's daily token issuance reached an all-time high on September 10, with more than 263,000 new Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens minted in a single day. This figure far exceeds the previous peak of 40,000 to 50,000 daily token launches recorded during the height of the meme coin cycle in December 2024.
The record came on a day when total token launches across launchpads reached 40,360. The majority of these launches were driven by Memecoin platform Pump.fun, which accounted for 34,184 tokens and generated $1.8 million in daily revenue, making it the highest-earning Solana-native protocol.
Pump.fun's outsized contribution to both token issuance and network revenue underlines its central role in Solana's on-chain economy. The platform contributed $124 million to Solana's total network revenue of $342 million in Q1 2026, accounting for roughly one-third of the chain's earnings during that period.
