Solana Transactions Soar to Record High Amid SOL Price Rally
Solana's network activity reached new heights in July, processing a record 4.2 billion transactions as the SOL token price surged by 40% to exceed $100 for the first time since February.
The massive increase in transaction volume was driven by expanding tokenized assets and on-chain trading activity, which returned to record levels. Tokenized real-world assets on Solana approached $4 billion, representing a growth of 11.8% over the previous month.
The network's July ecosystem review reported an RWA value of $3.73 billion near the end of that month, but this figure later rose above $4 billion in August. This significant jump in usage and activity on Solana occurred before SOL's recent price rally, indicating a strong correlation between network performance and token price.
The growth in Solana's transaction volume has been steady, with a 91% increase since December, reaching nearly 2.2 billion transactions per month. The expanding adoption of tokenized assets on the platform is also contributing to its increasing popularity.
