Solana Unleashes Larger Transactions to Take on Ethereum

Solana's Transaction V1 format has gone live, allowing for significantly larger transactions.

The upgrade raises the maximum amount of data a single transaction can carry to 4,096 bytes from 1,232 bytes, more than tripling the previous limit.

This should help developers run more complex applications on the network, including company-wallet approvals and privacy-focused use cases.

The new format aims to address a structural bottleneck that previously limited Solana's ability to compete with rival platforms like Ethereum.
