Solana validators and delegators are currently voting on three major governance proposals that aim to introduce a new constitution, faster disinflation, and a revised transaction fee structure for the network.

The voting period began on August 23 and will end at epoch 1023, expected to be around 15:30 UTC on August 27. The three proposals are SGP-0001, which asks validators and delegators to ratify the Solana Constitution; SGP-0002, which aims to double the annual rate of disinflation from 15% to 30%; and SGP-0003, which proposes a new transaction fee structure that divides the base transaction fee into inclusion and resource fees.

The proposals are expected to have significant impacts on the network's operations and governance. The Solana Constitution would establish a canonical framework for network-level decisions, while the faster disinflation rate could lead to reduced SOL emissions. The revised transaction fee structure would charge higher fees in cases of high demand for network resources, with all resource fees being burnt.
