Solana Validators Get Raise with Jito BAM Preconfirmations

Solana validators just got a significant boost in revenue thanks to Jito's BAM preconfirmations, which went live on September 9. This new system creates an additional revenue layer for validators that stream committed transaction data to traders and applications looking for speed.

The system already covers over 34% of Solana's total network stake, with launch partnerships in place with infrastructure providers Helius and Triton.

Traders using arbitrage or market making can benefit from a 5-10ms advantage in latency, which can be the difference between profit and loss. The revenue split follows a three-way allocation: distribution partners take 30%, BAM validators receive 35% (proportionally based on their stake weight through priority fees), and the remaining 35% flows to the Jito DAO treasury.

Validators running either AgaveBAM or FireBAM clients can participate automatically, while those who opt out can do so through Discord with a self-service toggle planned for a future release. Actual revenue generation is expected to begin in October 2026.
