Solana Wallet Breaks Silence with $11M Move Amidst Network Decline
A Solana (SOL) wallet that had been dormant for over a year suddenly moved $11 million in assets. According to on-chain tracker Lookonchain, the wallet withdrew 80,000 SOL from Binance on January 10. The transaction was executed approximately five hours after initial detection.
The withdrawal of tokens off Binance is significant as it typically signals long-term holding intentions rather than selling plans. Solana traded at $135.68 as of January 10, down from a $140.42 intraday high to a $135.05 low.
This move comes amidst a decline in Solana's network performance and trading volume. The 24-hour trading volume declined by 24.42% to $3.76 billion. Despite the decline, whale accumulation patterns emerged across early 2026, with large wallets making repeated 10+ SOL purchases through the network downturn.
