Solana's Meme Coin Dominance Endures Despite Rotations

The Solana network has faced questions about its dominance in meme coin trading, but on-chain data suggests it remains highly active.

Recently, some traders and influencers have expressed concerns that Solana is losing its position as a hub for crypto speculation. They point to the fact that certain high-profile tokens on Solana have not surpassed a market cap of 20 million USD, while meme coins on BNB Chain have soared above 40 million USD.

However, data from Dune Analytics shows that Solana regained its leading position after Robinhood's brief period as a hotspot for meme coin trading. According to Blockworks data, over 46% of Solana's daily trading volume comes from meme coin pairs, indicating that meme coins remain one of the network's most important trading scenarios.

This is not the first time the market has questioned Solana's meme coin dominance. In October 2025 and July this year, there were brief flows of funds to BNB Chain and Robinhood, respectively, but these rotations have been short-lived.
