Solana's Overbought Price Grinds Higher as DEX Fees Soar

Solana's price is grinding higher on August 25, 2026, despite flashing red overbought signals on the daily chart. The SOL/USDT pair closed at $102.41, with a relative strength index (RSI) of 88.12 and above its Bollinger upper band.

The RSI is in extreme territory, historically not sustaining for long without a cooling-off period. This could come through a price pullback or a sideways digestion phase.

On the bright side, on-chain activity is posting extraordinary growth across decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Orca DEX fees are up 429% weekly and 1,131% over 30 days, while Raydium AMM fees climbed 140% in seven days and 468.80% over 30 days.

The daily trend remains structurally bullish, but lower timeframe momentum is stalling at the execution level. The 15-minute chart reveals a more nuanced picture, with the trend remaining bullish but short-term momentum rolling over.
