Solana's Real-World Assets Surge Past $4 Billion
Solana's real-world asset (RWA) ecosystem has reached new heights, surpassing $4 billion in total value for the first time on August 23. This milestone marks a significant increase from January, when the network's RWA tally sat at roughly $1.4 billion, a near-tripling in under eight months.
The growth wasn't sudden, with Solana's RWA ecosystem absorbing $263 million in net inflows over the preceding 30 days alone, translating to a 10.6% growth rate in a single month. In contrast, Ethereum saw $337 million in outflows over the same period.
Tokenized US Treasuries account for $1.2 billion of Solana's total RWA value and grew 16% within the measured period. Tokenized equities have also emerged as a significant growth engine on the network, with products like xStocks by Backed Finance driving trading volumes on Solana's decentralized exchanges past $5.8 billion in the second quarter of 2026.
Solana offers sub-second finality and transaction costs measured in fractions of a cent, positioning it to potentially overtake BNB Chain for the second spot in the RWA rankings. Traditional stock markets operate on T+1 settlement, while on-chain equities on Solana settle in roughly 400 milliseconds.
