Solana's SOL Token Surges 46%, Ends 10-Month Losing Streak
Solana's SOL token has seen its first green monthly candle in 11 months, closing near $103 after a 46% surge in August. This represents a significant recovery from its cycle lows, where it hit approximately $60 and shed around 75% of its peak value.
The rally peaked at around $110.38, a level SOL hadn't touched since January 2026, but the token's price has already started to drop back down. The gap between $103 and SOL's all-time high of approximately $294 is still enormous, roughly a 185% climb.
Cumulative inflows into Solana exchange-traded funds reached $1.34 billion in August, providing significant buying pressure throughout the recovery. A previously dormant whale wallet accumulated approximately 76,856 SOL from Hyperliquid, worth around $8 million at August prices.
