Solana's Transaction v1 Boosts Capacity by 3.3 Times
Solana is set to introduce Transaction v1 on September 9, 2026, which will increase the network's maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes.
This change is designed to accommodate data-intensive workloads such as zero-knowledge proofs, large multisignatures, and confidential transfers.
The new format retains limits on accounts and instructions per transaction but gives developers more room to package complex operations into a single transaction.
