Solana's World Prediction Market Launches with 1M Users Waiting
World has launched its standalone prediction market platform on Solana, making it accessible to more than one million waitlisted users. The expansion of World beyond Phantom allows users to access a wide range of markets in sports, crypto, politics, finance, economics, and culture.
The launch includes all NFL regular-season games, seven soccer leagues, Formula 1, and the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, as well as markets linked to the upcoming Federal Reserve policy decision. Users can participate by trading 'yes' or 'no' contracts with prices ranging from $0 to $1, settled in CASH, Phantom's dollar-backed stablecoin.
World operates as a non-custodial protocol, sending orders to liquidity providers on Solana without requiring users to have a brokerage account or exchange registration. However, Phantom users must pay network fees for opening and closing positions.
