Solflare Simplifies Cross-Chain Deposits with Aurora Intents
Solflare has introduced a simpler way to deposit assets onto its platform using Aurora Intents. This technology allows users to move funds from various blockchains, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, directly into Solana without using traditional bridge interfaces.
Aurora Labs powers the cross-chain funding with $NEAR Intents, which handles over $23 billion in transaction volume per month and processes over $2.3 billion each month. Users can transfer assets to a permanent deposit address, while Aurora Intents manages the cross-chain routing, liquidity sourcing, and token conversion.
The initial release supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, BNB Chain, Tron, and $NEAR, with SOL and stablecoins as primary destination assets. The platform charges a 0.1% fee for stablecoin transfers and 1% for other assets, although all deposits will be fee-free during the first month after launch.
Aurora Labs aims to remove one of crypto's biggest onboarding friction points by replacing bridge applications with reusable deposit addresses. The approach is expected to provide users with a simpler and more trusted way to bring assets into the Solana ecosystem, making Solflare the natural gateway for funds flowing in from every major chain.
