A solo Bitcoin miner earned $200,000 from solving block 960804 on August 2, 2026. The reward was approximately 3.1569 BTC, the full block reward at that time.

The miner used CKPool, a service that allows people to point their equipment at shared infrastructure without running a Bitcoin node. This marked the 317th solo block found by CKPool, according to developer Con Kolivas.

Dr -ck described the miner's computing power as 'wildly variable, presumably rental,' peaking at 100 petahash per second (PH). This represented about 0.011% of Bitcoin's total network hashrate, which was near 924 exahashes per second at that time.
