Soluna, Bitdeer Partner for 28 MW Bitcoin Mining Deployment
Soluna Holdings Inc., a US-based renewable energy company, has partnered with Bitdeer Technologies Group to deploy approximately 28 MW of Bitcoin mining equipment at its Project Kati 1 in South Texas. The deployment will provide around 1.93 exahashes per second of hash rate, according to the companies.
The partnership, which is a co-mining arrangement, was announced on Monday and is expected to begin in September this year. Under the agreement, Soluna will provide the site, power, and turnkey operations while Bitdeer provides its Sealminer A2 Pro Air mining equipment. The two companies will share the mining proceeds generated by the deployment.
Soluna's CEO, John Belizaire, stated that co-mining is a natural extension of the company's operating history and allows them to participate more directly in what the infrastructure produces alongside a partner that builds capable machines.
