Soluna Completes 83MW Texas Bitcoin Hosting Site
Soluna Holdings has completed its first phase of Project Kati 1, an 83 MW Bitcoin-hosting site in Texas. The final 14 megawatts were energized on September 8, bringing the company's total operating capacity to approximately 206 MW.
The facility is powered by the Las Majadas wind project and features a co-mining agreement with Bitdeer, which was announced in August. This partnership involves delivering and deploying equipment, according to Soluna.
Kati 1 was delivered on schedule, with infrastructure costs remaining on budget, as per Soluna's update. The company has also been classified as Base Load by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), which preserves interconnection capacity based on earlier study work and removes the project from further reliability evaluation or megawatt allocation.
The conditional classification is not final, with ERCOT conducting verification and potential removal if the applicant does not answer information requests. Soluna expects the full 166 MW campus to be confirmed.
